What prevents double-booking if two customers pick the same slot simultaneously?
Slotwise enforces atomic database transactions in MySQL 8.0 with InnoDB row-level locks (SELECT ... FOR UPDATE). The exact microsecond a reservation is requested, the row is locked against concurrent writes. Even if two visitors confirm in the same millisecond, only the first request succeeds, and the second is immediately informed to choose an adjacent slot.
What happens if Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook sync fails or disconnects?
Slotwise uses automated OAuth 2.0 refresh tokens with exponential backoff retries. If an external calendar provider revokes access or suffers API degradation, Slotwise alerts you via dashboard and email while safely buffering pending booking requests in MySQL so zero customer appointments disappear.
Can I export all my booking records and client history without vendor lock-in?
